Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to summon a Council of State meeting to advise him on the crisis in the South-East. The Council of State is an advisory body which comprises former Presidents, serving governors, the Chief Justice of Nigeria and a few other prominent Nigerians. The former President said in a Facebook post that the tension across the country was unfortunate even as he condemned the burning of a police station by the Indigenous People of Biafra members. He also condemned the threat to human life by several elements across Nigeria. Again, Ekiti tops NECO results, retains first position

Efforts by the Ayodele Fayose-led administration in Ekiti State to reposition the education sector have again yielded positive results as the state retained her first position in the National Examinations Council secondary leaving examinations conducted by the body for 2017. The good news was broken in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday by the State Governor, Chief Ayodele Fayose while meeting with retirees at the Government House, according to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Idowu Adelusi. Recall that the state came first in the same examinations in 2016 among the 36 states in the country. A cash-in-transit heist took place in various parts of South Africa on Tuesday morning after a group of armed robbers launched a brazen attack on two cash-in-transit vehicles driving in convoy on the R49 in the North West's police said.  The Cash Solutions van was annihilated when it was blown up by the ten armed robbers Money fell from the sky when a gang of armed robbers blew up an armoured security van to get at the £1.5million in cash locked inside, Dailymail reports. Ten criminals in three cars forced the Cash Solutions vehicle off the road on the R71 near Gravelette, Limpopo, South Africa by dramatically shooting out the tyres. They then attached explosives to the van then dragged the guards off to a safe distance and detonated the charges blowing the side and roof completely off the vehicle.
