QUEEN ELIZABETH APPOINTS NEW KING AND QUEEN!

Rather than appointing her son, Prince Charles, in the British monarchy’s line of succession, Queen Elizabeth II has officially appointed grandson, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton as new King and Queen of England.

The report according to Yahoo said the Queen made the announcement on Wednesday, August 9 in her belief that appointing a younger generation is vital for the House of Windsor to thrive in the future.

A Palace insider reportedly said Queen Elizabeth in all her 65 years on the royal seat has ensured the survival of Windsor, thus, she sees Prince William and Princess Kate as persons for the job in a modern world.

“Her Majesty realized that William and Kate are the future, the insider said.

“She has spent 65 years making sure that the House of Windsor survives, and she sees William and Kate as having the energy and star quality to do the job in a modern world. Queen Elizabeth will always do what is best for the long-term health of the monarchy.

The source further said Her Majesty truly does not believe the monarchy has the respect and power it once had, and that in her eyes, William and Kate are the two people who can turn things around.

It was revealed that since the 91-year-old Queen’s decision to pass the crown on to grandson William, 35, instead of her son Charles, 68, the relationship between father and son seems a little strained.

“Things have been a bit strained between William and his father since the Queen’s decision. But they are slowly getting used to it,” the royal insider had said.

However, Charles’ wife of 12 years, Camilla Parker Bowles is said not to be upset by her mother-in-law’s decision. According to royal author Duncan Larcombe who spoke to Life & Style;

“She’s secretly thrilled about the Queen’s decision. At 70, she’s had enough drama to last her a lifetime. [But], it’s hard on Charles. He has been unlucky as the man with the longest wait for a job ever.”

Considering what the decision of Queen Elizabeth means to the world’s most popular couple – William and Kate, and how it affects their young family, the palace insider said since their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte are only 4 and 2 years old, respectively, Kate is mostly concerned about her role as a mother.

“She’s desperate to remain a hands-on mom and worries about being in the spotlight more,” says the insider.

Being a member of the British royal family places each of them on the spotlight from one generation to the next. But while the rest of the world is excited for the change and step forward, it’s important to keep in mind of their daily efforts to remain as normal family as possible.

Queen Elizabeth is expected to live up to 100 years since she is reportedly in great health condition. Hence, Prince William and Princess Kate still have a long way off before the royal responsibility falls on the shoulders.
